USCGC POINT BROWER (82372)

The Point Brower was commissioned on April 21, 1970 and decommissioned on March 28, 2003 and transfered to the country of Azerbaijan. She is the 34th Point Class cutter to be decommissioned and transfered. ______________________________________________________________

Alongside Navy destroyer taking on fresh water.
The Point Jefferson was built by the CG Yard (as were all other 82 footers) and completed on December 7, 1960 and assigned to Nantucket Island Ma. She was later assigned to Coast Guard Squadon One in Vietnam. In 1970 she was transferred to Vietnam and renamed "Le Dgoc An".

This was one of a kind WPB prototype which was supposed to be one of the candidates to replace the 82s. Top speed of 40 knots. The Guardian Marine FPC is 85' in length and 23' in width. The power is provided by twin Detroit Diesel 4000's.
